How can a foreign court’s judgment be enforced/executed in Pakistan?

A foreign decree/monetary judgment can be enforced in Pakistan by adopting one of the three procedures given below:

1. Seeking direct execution where the country rendering the judgment is designated by the Government of Pakistan as a reciprocating territory (such as the U.K.); or

• Filing a suit in Pakistan on the basis of the foreign judgment, treating it as a cause of action; or

• Filing a suit on the original cause of action.
